Let me ask you, Is this you? You have been working quite a bit lately and you haven’t had time for yourself. You’re feeling a bit stressed and that inner voice just won’t stop telling you that you’re not good enough. You have a knot in your stomach and you’re not feeling confident and so you haven’t planned anything for the weekend. Talking about how you feel to friends or your partner never seems to help. Whilst they listen to you, they end up telling you their stories, and you end up listening to them, and so you’re continually going around in a loop. Does this sound familiar?
If this sounds like you, have you considered visiting a life coach in order to explore where you are and where you want to get to? The process allows you the space to explore your life, in order reduce stress, boost self-esteem and confidence with the result in giving you the opportunity for renewed purpose in your life.
Life coaches work with their clients on a one to one basis, based on the individual needs of the client. Its through a series of honest and challenging discussions and using effective tools and techniques that we look to move our client forward. We will not give our client the answers as its far more empowering for the client to find the answers for themselves.
Life coaching sessions aim to give the client clarity and focus around direction. The client and coach agree manageable steps in order to move their life forward. A life coach will identify and challenge a client’s beliefs about themselves, if those beliefs are not serving them or indeed limiting their life. In this instance the coach will work with the client to eliminate these obstacles. A coaching session will also incorporate work with a client around their value system in order to ensure that their path aligns with the values that they hold. We understand that when a client’s life is out of alignment, even if they believe a path or a career is right for them, that it will ultimately not lead to fulfilment.
Just as importantly we will set our client tasks and strategies which they can take away and use which underlines the areas of learning undertaken in the session.
A client may choose to have just one session in order to give them space and clarity to explore a specific area of their life, which is enough to allow them to reach a breakthrough or decision. Or alternatively they may decide to work over the period of a few sessions, in order to address several areas.
A great advantage of coaching is that it can take place to suit the client. Some clients choose to visit, others prefer to walk and coach, for some phone or Skype coaching is more convenient. The client never need worry about their location or indeed travelling unless they choose to do so.
